Almost exclusively, Lisboa holiday rentals are apartments. In all my research I only found two houses to rent in Lisboa. Apartments to rent in Lisboa are often found in beautiful city mansions, predominantly two bedrooms with a few one bedroom apartments to rent in Lisboa as well. Being in the city centre, pools are rare but careful searching can reveal a few on the outskirts with shared pools.
Prices vary depending on the location with the most sought-after and therefore most expensive being near the Alfama district. Lisboa holiday rentals overlooking the river Tagus also come at a premium. Beaches are found to the west of the city near Estoril and Cascais but presumably for those choosing a city location beaches are not a priority.
The benefits of a holiday rental in Lisboa are the proximity of culture, history, nightlife and shopping. A day at the beach can be a pleasant change.
